WORK HISTORY

Hance Scarborough Wright Ginsberg & Brusilow, Dallas, TX
Associate Attorney
1999 - 2003

Represented both debtors and creditors in various chapter 11 business reorganizations. From a debtors perspective, I have actively participated in all aspects of a chapter 11 reorganization, from successfully defending against motions for relief from stay and motions to dismiss to drafting and confirming plans of reorganization. From a creditors perspective I have represented numerous landlords in protecting their leasehold and real estate interests and many other creditors in successfully defending against a variety of preference actions.

• Assisted lead counsel in defeating numerous business valuation, present value, and substantive consolidation challenges to plan of reorganization on behalf of the debtor, a large public company in the home healthcare business;

• Obtained dismissal of a large RICO action in District Court;

• Successfully defeated several preference actions on summary judgment;

• Successfully challenged certain cash collateral interests of creditor in a large chapter 11 proceeding; and

• Negotiated settlement agreement with ad valorem taxing authorities and multiple secured lenders on several private jet aircraft which resulted in substantial savings to the bankruptcy estate.
